So, let’s identify its layers by starting with its mattress cover which is made of 29% viscose, 67% polyester, 4% lycra. Its fabric weighs 450g with a non-toxic knit barrier that is not chemically treated to resist fire. The non-slip bottom cover is also made of 100% polyester stitch bond and non-FR coating to keep it in place. Underneath this cover is the 2 inches top layer which is made of hyper-elastic polymer. This famous Purple Grid has a non-toxic polyethylene copolymer powder coating. Meanwhile, its middle layer is a thicker layer polyurethane foam that has a 1.8 pounds density and 3.5 inches height. Lastly, its base layer is made of polyurethane foam that has a 2 pounds density and 4 inches in height.

Firmness

If the DreamCloud Mattress has a luxury firm feel, the Purple Mattress has a medium-firm feel. Despite its foam mattress construction, it feels a little bit firmer than a hybrid mattress of DreamCloud. Regardless, the latter still feels softer compared with the Purple Mattress which is firmer for those who weigh less than 180 pounds. Your size and weight play an important role in this aspect. Thus, it is safe to say that the Purple Mattress is more suitable for those who have average to large frames. Meanwhile, the DreamCloud can accommodate individuals with small to average and large frames.
